A Slap in the Face of American Veterans

The following “Letter to the Editor”, written by a Retired Army, 82nd Airborne Drill Instructor, has been turned down by the Rome News Tribune and a Chattooga County News Paper. We are proud to run it, and have verified its accuracy with respect to the June 14, 2000 vote by Barbara Massey Reece, incumbent Democrat for the 11th District, Georgia House seat, when Reece voted to re-name part of Veteran’s Memorial Drive, a major thoroughfare running through Cynthia McKinney’s congressional district, to the “Cynthia McKinney Parkway”.

Teresa Watson

A Slap in the Face of American Veteran

Barbara Reece has slapped the face of every veteran and serviceman by voting to change the Veteran’s Memorial Highway to the Cynthia McKinney Parkway.

Cynthia McKinney is the United State Congress woman from Georgia, who slapped the Marine at the White house because he did not recognize her, and asked for her identification. McKinney got away with her slap.

Don’t Let Barbara Reece Get Away With Her Slap!

Cynthia McKinney has preached “:hate America” and even blamed America for the World Trade Center Bombings. Her doctrine of Socialism, Marxism/Communism is well documented, not to mention her hatred of our military.

Barbara Reece is honoring this hateful, anti-American in place of Veterans whose service has preserved the First Amendment Right to Free Speech, which Cynthia McKinney has abused.

Don’t let Reece get away with dishonoring our Veterans. JUST VOTE “NO” on or before November 4, 2008.

When asked why she voted against our Veterans, she said that she had made a deal with the Atlanta Black Caucus who were pushing for the amendment. Reece sold her vote for in exchange for their support for her legislation.

What’s wrong with God, family and country? What’s wrong with loving America and being patriotic? God bless our country, God Bless our troops, and God bless our veterans who served so we can be free.

A special thanks to our WWII vets, You are the Greatest Generation.

Charles Stoker

Chattooga County Resident

United State Army, Retired

Former Drill Instructor, 82nd Airborne

Cynthia McKinney and her Father are true racists. They have played the system for many years using the race card as their “ace in the hole” I could care less if she is green, blue, or black, but her actions speak for themselves. For Barbara Reece to co-operate with her is akin to treason, at least in my opinion. I did not know much of Mrs. Reece until this information came out, I deplore her actions in trading her vote to these people who down our country on a daily basis. Please, Please folks, Vote for Betty Brady, She is Good People.

Maninblack…I don t believe… Mr Stoker is retired from the US Army, and I doubt he was ever a Drill Instructor,I believe I know him, Did he run for office some years ago? We must thank him for his service tho..and I agree , all servicemen are of the greatest generation

Dear Fatso,

Charles Stoker was in the Army, 82nd Airborne, and a drill instructor. Yes, he did run for office several years ago, Tax Commissioner, I believe, but I will have to double check that tomorrow.

He graduated from Drill Instructor School at FT. McClellan, Alabama, (Anniston), in 1993.

Later, he worked at the jail, and was top of his class at the Police Academy. He worked under Johnny Cochran, his Unit Mgr.

Now, are you not the one who tried to stir up some dark, black rumor about Betty Brady after Ralph Kellett lost his bid for re-election as Chattooga County Sheriff? Ya’ll seem to want to blame all of the recent political ills on her, instead of the do-nothing, corrupt BLC puppets who have run that neck of the woods for ages.

And, didn’t you promise an “October Surprise” regarding Betty Brady? What ever happened to that? We know that yours and “Rednecks” allegations that Betty Brady had filed Bankruptcy proved to be LIES, based on a confidential conversation Brady had with now ousted Sheriff Ralph Kellett over five years ago.

But she never filed, and you and Red and the rest were DEAD wrong on that one. Ya’ll even tried to allude that if folks checked the public records, they would find she had…but NO, again, ya’ll were either grossly misinformed, or you lied.

So, your attacks on Brady have not helped yet, and now you are going after someone who wrote a Letter to the Editor on behalf of Betty Brady? I mean, ya’ll have the Rome News Tribune and the Summerville News on your side, supporting Barbara Massey Reece, so, why bother with little old Betty Brady and her supporters?

That’s pretty pathetic. Impotent, I would say. And VERY AMUSING to the rest of us.

Tw, glad to add to the entertainment of your board, you and the other pundits have certainly entertained me.,,thank you
Don t recall saying the ole gal filed to bankrupt,or an october suprise I don t feel anything would be wrong if she did file,, she would have my blessings
Next time I am in CC I will try to find out about Mr Stoker (the drill instructor),,,,If this is the same person who ran for office, he would have been in his 50 s in 1993,,,we have to be talking about two different people

Dear Fatso,

I have met him, and would say he is about my husband’s age - early fifties. Do not know for sure. But 1993 was fifteen years ago, so, if he is early to mid fifties, he would have been about 35 or 40 in 1993?

I think the numbers speak for themselves. Betty Brady went up against an incumbent and had a better than average showing. I know I was proud of her efforts. This should be a kick in the pants for Mrs. Reece. The people of District 11 want their moneys worth and will be watching to see how much effort she is going to give her constituents. She needs to do more than shine a seat. Anyway, Congratulations to Ms. Brady for a race well ran.

Dear Room4 -

One individual calling himself “Guru” posted late Monday night, but I was not near my computer to see it until Tuesday morning. He raked Betty over the coals, an predicted she would not even get 30%. Well, she got 40%…not bad for a first time candidate against a long time incumbent/politcal machine.

I did not allow his post to show, btw, because I am very familiar with his writing style. It is someone who is very bitter about a whole host of issues right now, and is lashing out any anyone or any cause I support right now, and sees Betty Brady as a PERSONAL enemy.

PS -

I have a new Op-ed up under Whine & Opine, about the positives with President-elect Barak Obama’s election last night.

Ya’ll check it out.

No , I didn t ask him any questions, I was with someone who knew him, so ,I remained silent , and listened
My friend said he has been working at one of the mills in CC for about 15 years, before the mill , he worked for Hays C.I. he was dismissed for some reason…I was told that when he ran for a public office ( tax collector ) he would dress as a monkey and run up and down the streets. Theres more , but the post is already too long

Dear Fatso,

I will call him and ask him in the morning. I am exhausted as I have been all over Nothwest Georgia today, filing and reseraching something - ANDIT IS FRIDAY NIGHT, so I am calling it a day.
