Arch Farrar Rides Again: More Chattooga County Land Grabs

January 31, 2010

Readers may remember the Luke Puckett story from back in fall of 2007. Chattooga County attorney Arch Farrar played a significant role in the real estate deed search gone bad, which resulted, one way or another, in the death of outsider Luke Puckett. In fact, Arch Farrar’s brother-in-law, Rome, Georgia attorney and close friend of convicted Criminal Enterprise Head/drug Dealer/Money Lauderer Mario Armas, Bill Byington, helped bail Arch Farrar out of trouble.

Bill Byington represented the Title Insurance Company’s and Mrs. Puckett’s bad title claim against his brother-in-law, Arch Farrar, without disclosing to Mrs. Puckett that he was, in fact, the brother-in-law of the attorney who had caused all of hers and her late husband’s real estate woes. (See November 27, 2007 article: Chattoga County Dixie Mafia:Chapter 4 - Luke Puckett, “Assisted Suicide” ).

Well, Arch Farrar has been up to more activities which deserve scrutiny, in the family affairs of Butch and Bob Eleam.

Janet and Bob Eleam got in touch with me several months ago, and after relating their story over the phone, came to Rome to meet with me, and lay out the documents in the paper trail which defines a sad litany of manipulation of Bob’s parents by another sibling, which borders on ELDER ABUSE, all with the aid and legal counsel and filing of paperwork by Arch Farrar.

Almost ten years ago, Janet and Bob Eleam noticed that Bob’s mother, Martha Wilson Eleam, was starting to get confused. A doctor’s evaluation diagnosed her condition as Alzheimer’s. She was okay most days, but as her husband’s health declined after a fractured hip, Marth Eleam also continued to decline.

Bob and Janet, who were living in the Eleam family farm home, began to care for Bob’s aging parents. They rarely could go to the farm house where they lived, and put off building their own home for several years, as both worked long hours at their respective jobs, and caring for their parents was in itself, a full time job.

Janet Eleam, Woodrow Wilson Eleam and Martha Eleam’s daughter-in-law, was their primary caregiver, which included personal hygiene and house cleaning for the aging Eleams, as well as handling their financial affairs, paying bills and such.

In 2002, after several negative encounters with his other son, Butch Eleam, and his daughter’s son, Scott Copeland, (who worked for his Uncle Butch), Woodrow Wilson Eleam asked Bob and Janet Eleam to help him find an attorney who could draw up news wills.

Bob, Janet and Woodrow Eleam chose Buddy Hill, of Dickerson & Hill, LLC. Woodrow Wilson signed Check # 402, drawn on his account with People’s First, in the amount of $800.00, making out the check himself, to Dickerson-Hill, LLC. Buddy Hill and Charles Dickerson drew up a Last Will and Testament, a Durable Power of Attorney, and Living Wills, for end of life decisions. These documents were completed on June 27, 2002.

The issue of the check and who wrote it and signed it is critical, as you will later see.

These wills left all properties to each other, as spouses, but provided that in the event either spouse predeceased one of them, that the properties would be divided such that their daughter Anne Eleam Copeland would get the Espy Street address real property, and the two boys, Allen W. (Butch) Eleam and Robert L. Eleam, Sr., would each get half of the 134 and 33/100ths acre farm.

Because Bob and Janet Eleam had been caring for them for several years, Woodrow and Martha Eleam left the household furnishings in the Espy Street home to Bob, but split the farm equipment between the two brothers.

In the Durable POA, Bob Eleam was named the Agent for both his mother and his father.

According to Janet Eleam, when her brother-in-law, Butch Eleam, learned what his father had done, he came to the family farm house, and demanded that Bob and Janet tear up their father’s and mother’s wills. Of course, that was not a decision for Bob and Janet to make – to tear up someone else’s will.

So, Butch Eleam confronted his aging father at the older couple’s Espy Street home. According to Janet Eleam, Butch Eleam told his father, “I’ve got the money, power and means to put your ass away in a nursing home and forget about you, old man”.

Janet Eleam says that she will never forget that encounter, as she watched in horror while her brother-in-law verbally attacked his own father. She watched as her aging, injured father-in-law tried to stand up, pulling himself high in his chair, and tell his son, “If I could stand up and get my gun, I’d put a hole right between your eyes. You get out of my house, now”.

Janet knew enough to write this down, to document it, in case there was ever any violence between the two later.

The next day, Butch Eleam paid a visit to Bob and Janet’s home, and asked if they knew if their father kept a gun in the house on Espy Street. Bob Eleam confirmed that their father did, and Butch told Bob to get rid of it.

Later, Butch Eleam hired a “Housekeeper/Nurse”, to help Janet and Bob look after their parents. But the nurse confided in both Bob and Janet Eleam that she was administering the meds with alcohol to help “relax” Mr. Eleam. This caused Mr. Woodrow Wilson Eleam to begin to hallucinate. On top of the pain meds and antidepressants, prescribed for his injured hip, the alcohol was making Mr. Eleam even more confused , and in early September, doctors determined that both Mr. Woodrow Wilson Eleam and Mrs. Martha Eleam were no longer competent to sign documents. That evaluation/determination took place on September 9, 2002.

Four days later, on September 13, 2002, Woodrow called Janet and Bob and told them that attorneys Arch Farrar and Chris Corbin and someone else had been to the Espy Street home and instructed he and his wife to sign some papers, but that he wasn’t sure what it was that Mr. Farrar had made them sign.

Bob and Janet Eleam knew…it had to be new wills.

Indeed, new wills prepared by Arch Farrar, of Farrar and Corbin, for both of the Medically Declared Incompetent Eleams had been signed by two witnesses, including Arch Farrar’s law partner, City of Summerville attorney Chris Corbin. The wills were then notarized by Joyce Brown.

The $900.00 check paid to Arch Farrar for this work was written out by/signed by Butch Eleam, NOT Mr. Woodrow Wilson Eleam, whose wills were prepared. Remember that earlier when Mr. Eleam had wanted news wills, HE wrote the check out. HE signed the check paid to Charles Dickerson and Buddy Hill.

The new wills, again, left all of their property to each other, as spouses. But as a provision in the event one spouse predeceased another, the new wills, instead of specifically dividing the real estate and property to avoid sibling infighting, as the wills prepared by Dickerson-Hill had, instead simply gave each child a 1/3 interest of all property lumped together, and made each child a co-executor - a muddled mess which screams for confusion and in-fighting.

On November 16, 2002, Mr. Woodrow Wilson Eleam died.

On April 28, 2003, attorney Arch Farrar probated the will, providing only verifications for the widow, Martha Eleam, son Butch Eleam and daughter Ann Eleam Copeland. No effort was made to include Bob Eleam.

Anne Copeland was soon diagnosed with cancer, and as medical bills added up, Butch Eleam sued his sister over a property deal her late husband, Charles Copeland, had been involved with Butch Eleam in.

Butch Eleam sued his own flesh and blood, who was a widow, and who was battlingcancer.

Almost immediately after probating the wills, Butch moved his aging mother, Martha Eleam, into Assisted Living at Oakview, there in Summerville, Georgia. THEN Butch Eleam SOLD the house on Espy Street to Caroline Wyatt – the house that was supposed to go to his sister Anne Eleam Copeland, who was now suffering from cancer. Butch also sold all of Martha and her late husband’s possessions from that home – those things which were supposed to go to Bob and Janet Eleam, for the years of care they had provided their parents.

Bob and Janet Eleam took their mother through the house before it closed, and showed her what Butch Eleam had done. Mrs. Eleam was devastated that her possessions andher home had been sold, and confused as to how it could have happened.

She insisted that she NEVER gave permission to anyone to sell anything. She insisted that she had never signed anything allowing this to take place.

But she is easily confused, and had been declared incompetent several years earlier.Anyone allowing her to sign ANYTHING should have known they were breaking the law.

THEN, in January, 2004, Bob Eleam received a TYPED letter from his mother, Martha. Keep in mind that at this point, no LEGAL transfers of property hadoccurred, that Mrs. Eleam was aware of, and that it was Bob and Janet who had showed Mrs. Eleam that her home and possessions on Espy Street had been sold by her other son, Butch.

In the January 22, 2004 letter, letter, Bob’s mother, Martha, who had been declared incompetent more two years earlier, ALLEGEDLY typed, and signed:

Dear Bob,

I plan to have some work done at the farm. I may need to establish it as my residence. Please find yourself another lace by 4-1-04. You are not to take any of my property from the farm which includes any of the farm equipment. This includes both tractors and the 1948 Ford Truck. I have spoken to Sheriff Ralph Kellett about these items, and expect you to abide by this. Please give me any of my china and my furniture and the toys carved by Daddy. I did not give you permission to take these items. I have been deeply hurt by the way you have acted. I f you have any questions, you may talk to Butch or Anne and if you talk to me, please have one of them present.

Your mother, ….

Of course, Mrs. Eleam was not able to move back into her home. Neither Bob nor Janet had taken anything from the home, not china, not farm equipment, not hand-carved toys.Butch Eleam had already sold everything from Mrs. Eleam’s home, and had sold the home, too. But someone was filling the confused Martha Eleam with lies.

Bob and Janet eventually moved out of the farm house, and into a home they had been building on property near the farm. But over the next few months, as they prepared to move, Bob and Janet Eleam would find items moved around inside the farm house, their home. Sometimes items were missing. They filed FIVE burglary reports over a few month period, but when the burglaries became large scale, including jewelry and silverware, Bob and Janet Eleam went to see Sheriff Ralph Kellett. Kellett told them he knew who was stealing the property, but that he did not like to get in the middle of family disputes.

Then, just as in the Luke Puckett story, Sheriff Kellett told Bob and Janet Eleam that they should move out of the county.

That December, Bob and Janet Eleam filed one final complaint with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office, Incident Report #0502005. NOTHING was ever done. Worse, though, is that the Sheriff’s Office, under Ralph Kellett, lost all but that one complaint.

ALSO that December 2004, DESPITE the fact that for two years already, Martha Eleam had been declared mentally incompetent, Arch Farrar drew up a Warranty Deed transferring all of Martha Eleam’s remaining real property, primarily the 130 acre family farm, to Butch Eleam and the very sick Ann Eleam Copeland.

Nothing was given to Bob Eleam.

But in another twist of fate, Anne Eleam Copeland succumbed to her cancer, and her property was in turn left to her only son, Scott Copeland.

Bob and Janet Eleam are currently attempting to fight Butch Eleam, and ScottCopeland to some extent, for the illegal transfer of property forced on their mentally incompetent mother, because long before any property transfers had taken place, she had been declared incompetent.

And all of this has been orchestrated by Butch Eleam, conspiring with Arch Farrar and Chris Corbin, who drew up the transfer of property, and had Mrs. Martha Eleam signing documents, despite the legal declaration that Mrs. Eleam was incompetent.

Well, isn’t this interesting. Two sequels to two of your earlier stories.

I am sure I recently read somewhere else that you had not written anything much in the last few weeks. Some testy comment on the barking dogs story. Bet now they wished they had kept their opinions to themselves. Rattling cages, you know.

I don’t know the people in this instance, but have seen this kind of story play out many times. The family strife, I mean, not the questionable actions of the legal professionals involved. We never dealt with lawyers. We did go as a family to a local judge that gave us excellent counsel on the best way to deal with the division of our fathers estate. There wasn’t a lot to begin with, but what there was had sentimental value. We did take his advice and everything worked out perfectly, with no arguments. There is always a way to compromise and keep family ties strong. Lucy said it all. Greed. The lawyers will make a mint on this one. This will work to their advantage, for sure.

As best as i can remember this isn’t the first time butch has done this. something about a cabin on the brow where b and charles made a deal on a drive way. then when charles passed away b wouldn’t let his sister a use the drive way and she had to cut in one seperate.

the ties go even deeper for b. his wife t’s mother is bo loggins sister and is a ex judges widow. the old judge tj e is tied to the s’ville news and lots of land. the land is now being run by b, and i think theres alot involved. and it depends…

Could you please write in a way that an outsider, such as myself, could follow along ? You lost me. Thanks in advance, and Happy New Year to Ya’all !! Keep up the good investigative reporting Ms. Watson.

Dear Bill,

“B”, of course, is Butch Eleam. Charles is Charles Copeland, from the article, Butch’s late brother in law, who was involved, as per the article, in a real estate agreement with Butch. After Charles died, Butch tried to cheat his sister, Anne Eleam Copeland, a grieving widow diagnosed with cancer, out of an easement agreement her late husband and her brother, Butch, had.

You know who BO Loggins is…

The “Brow”, aka “the Western Brow” is the Alabama side of Lookout Mountain. Lookout Mountain rests in three states, Georgia, (Chattooga County), Tennessee, and Alabama. Some of the most gorgeous land on earth, it is a Viper’s Nest of old time Dixie Mafia illegal activities and where bodies are buried and never found.

BLC, for instance, has a huge home on the Chattooga County side, up in Cloudland, and a few miles away, literally a few, another huge home on the Western Brow. Same for Rex Abernathy and others who wallow in the corruption. I have been told that BLC has now built yet a third “Entertainment” home, up there, for entertaining wealthy, powerful people from around the world. I have been told it has cascading pools and fountains, but is essentially a garish nightmare, like the design of his Summerville Office. NO matter how much money one has, one cannot buy good taste.

I had the same experience TW, my brothers and sisters
all were fair and did the right thing to a person. But since
I have moved to CC, I have heard story after story
of squabbling among family member over wills.

Dear JH,

When you have a community of lawyers such as exists in Chattooga County, where the good ones are few and far between, then the corrupt ones build their power bases helping bullies cheat those they perceive as weaker than themsleves.

Are these people working from a blueprint or what? How much money and how many possessions does a person need? Where’s the love?

ROOM4ONEMORE

I can’t believe what I’m reading! It’s obvious to me you are not a very good judge of character if you can believe what these two people are telling you and then actually putting it in writing! I have no ties to Butch or Bob, however, Chattooga County is a small town and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know who the puppeteer is in this scandal! Janet would have to be pulling these strings, as usual, because poor Bob isn’t smart enough to have come up with this idea on his own. You may think you can damage reputations of good people by doing things like this, but they did not become good people by accident. Strangers that read this may form ignorant opinions, but people from Chattooga County that actually know these people already know who the respectable ones are in this issue.
Hilarious…oh well, we all need a good laugh occassionally! Thanks!

Dear Goattrader:

Doctors reports, which I have copies of, do not lie. Legal documents drawn up by Arch Farrar, and signed by he and his law partner, Chris Corbin, and the secretary, Ms. Brown, do not lie. Cancelled checks I have copies of, do not lie. These items are called “Evidence” in courts of law.

While I spent several hours interviewing Janet and Bob Eleam, I could have written much of this story with only a few sentences from them. You lay out the doctors reports, when the various documents were drawn up, and when real estate transactions took place, you have a VERIFIABLE case. Not circumstantial. These events took place and there is a well documented paper trail.

Arch Farrar ruined Luke Puckett’s life. Chris Corbin and Arch Farrar helped steal Marilyn and Stanley Anderson’s property, WITH LIES and a bought judge, Princess KCC-G.

Now, they have stolen away a family legacy by forcing mentally incompetent elderly persons to sign papers they did not understand and in some cases, were actually unaware they were signing. Theft by Deception? Fraud? Conspiracy?

You say you have no ties to the Eleams, but you stopped short of saying you have no ties to AF, CC, or one of the others named in this story of ELDER ABUSE.

It is almost as bad, and in fact, as another poster wrote, as if they have a Blueprint in Chattooga County for cheating weaker persons out of everything they have…and MORE.

Remember what David Tidmore did to his mother, Tennie Ruth Tidmore? Check out that article, too.

And why is it that strong, intelligent women, who come from outside of this county, like Betty Brady, Janet Eleam and myself, are always demonized by your ilk? Is it because you teach your women to shut up and stay in the kitchen, unless Daddy buys you a law degree and a guaranteed State Bar Exam result, and then puts you on the bench to rule and dispense his form of justice?

Do you even comprehend the meaning or definition of ELDER ABUSE?

This seems to happen quite often. My dad died in March, almost 3 years ago. It’s been a fight from day one with my siblings about who has control. When your Mother is still alive and in her right mind, SHE IS IN CONTROL. ROOM4ONEMORE said it all. Just how much money and possessions does someone need? There is no love because there is TOO much GREED. When you cuss your 73 year old Moma out 2 days before Christmas, expect to go to HELL.

Dear BlackSheep -

The only thing worse than Elder Abuse, is Child Abuse. Those who abuse, verbally, physically or mentally and financially, children or old people who are weak in mind or body, possess an intrinsic character flaw that devalues all human life but his or her own. Everyone is expendable. Everyone else exists to serve their purpose or need.

Has anyone heard of the condition of Bobby Lee Cook’s health recently. I have talked to a Lawyer from that area that says his condition is not so good and that he is very ill. I do not wish illness on anyone especially and 84 year old man. However he is way past the biblical 3 score and 10 and seems to be able to handle his business. I have heard nothing at all from Mr. Cook since TW beat them like a drum at a Mardi Gras parade a few months ago. I hope that his health improves and he gets better. He has many actions to answer for.

Dear BE -

Every time BLC or one if his clients gets close to indictment, or they have a bad case coming for trial which they cannot win, BLC’s condition gets worse, the client goes in the hospital or one of their family members gets urgently sick. This time, there are even rumors of the Princess being hospitalized. Who knows? But this is SOP for the Dixie Mafia crew. It happens so regularly that anyone in litigation against them know that this is a GOOD SIGNAL that the case may be winnable by the BLC opponents.

Suffice it to say that I am encouraged.

I read every day and love the stories but have lax on posting opinions. Sites need hits, even when they cannot advertise due to the Actions of a Tyrant.

Many of you will be more than Sad if this site comes down from lack of participation. I know the interest is still there because everywhere I go people are talking about Tw’s latest reporting. I encourage true supporters to boost this site. The site has brought many of us the only real News heard from Chattooga County and we cannot afford to lose it. My Opinion.

Dear BE,

I am not going anywhere. The Bureaucracy of the Federal Law Enforcement System is slower than molasses. It was more than a year ago that a representative of an intelligence agency of the United States government contacted me to inform me of certain facts and identifications and traces they had made into this massive case which threatens national security, and that “soon”, we would have justice.

I was told that I was highly favored by several of these entities, and that they needed me to be patient a little while longer. Of course, “soon” is a relative term, and when one is talking about organized crime which impacts national security, “Soon” could mean this half decade.

I remember marveling at the Mexican Mafia case which was tried in Rome, because it took almost five years to put together, and to come through the indictment phase, and finally – to TRIAL.

But guess what happened there? The case was so superbly documented that EVEYONE Indicted either took a Plea Deal or was found guilty at trial.

That is what we want here, and it will be worth waiting for. I and the other victims of this Dixie Mafia, as well as the citizenry of Northwest Georgia will owe such a debt of gratitude to the men and women who have persevered through decades of trying to bring this baby home, and who have NEVER given up, or lost sight of their goal. This includes local, state and federal peoples, and such a vast population of witnesses who have risked their lives, fortunes and reputations to bring Justice.

And, I know that it has been TEN years ago this month since I met FBI SA Bob Meadows and FBI SA Gary Wills, who have been fighting this Organized Crime for much longer than since I met them.

I met them to begin discussions about corruption in the Floyd County Judicial System, specifically with regards to Floyd County Superior Court Judge/former Floyd County District Attorney, F. Larry Salmon.

How long did the federal government go after Al Capone? How long after John Gotti? How long after other Organized Crime Mafioso?

I am nobody. I am a sinner with passions and lusts and desires which sometimes I control and which I give in to at other times. I can be course, and I can be dogmatic sometimes, and I am often self righteous. I write from the heart and write based on fact and evidence, and that is not always a pretty sight. But I believe in God, and I know that HE has heard our cries for justice, and has been moved by prayers of saints and sinners alike, for JUSTICE.

This morning, I am reminded that seven years ago, several women gathered at the top of the hill in downtown Rome, where I lived. They brought Shophars (rams’ horns) and drums, musical and worship instruments of the Hebrew nation from eons ago. They said that several ministers from different, area churches, who prayed together, had all been burdened with the heavy spirit of corruption which ruled over this town and this part of Georgia.

Each minister had decided to call their congregations to prayer, and that Saturday morning, they were gathering together on the seven hills of Rome, at the same time, to make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord, and to Pray to the God of Creation for Liberation from Corruption and to pray for Justice. They prayed that ROME, Georgia, would become a lamp on a hill.

I told them about some of my work then, and they asked me to join them on Lumpkin Hill that morning, as we cried out to God. They laid hands on me that morning, and prayed over me and the work I was attempting to do.

I know two of the churches which were represented by these women, one from downtown, and one from Lindale.

I was overcome that morning with both a sense of humility and a sense of purpose. I do not often think of that morning, but as I have spent time this morning in prayer, seven years later, I am overcome again with a sense that Jubilee is coming.

Bring it, and Thanks be to God.

I can’t believe I am saying this, but as a life-long conservative and Republican I can finally rid myself of my pre-concieved notions of which is the best party. There is no “Best Party”, the first individual who will step forward and call this administration what it is will be the beginning of a new day. Dem. or Republican, or Libertarian, I will never vote for a party again, just the individual I have confidence in. Our Country is dying and we the people are not willing to stand up and be counted. Who would have ever believed that the Top Three Auto Makers would all be located in Japan. Our country is on the same trail taken by other great nations over the years and following the same pattern. Letting the people who won’t work be supported by those who do. I just finished watching a “48 Hours” episode about a man who disappeared in western Georgia. To make a long story short, there was a cracker-jack detective brought in 16 years later…after the leads went stale, and was able to crack the case. This gentlemen has a history of being able to crack “old’ cases. His name is Clay Bryant. Perhaps he should be contacted and put on cases in Northwest, Georgia that have been pushed aside, and forgotten about. Do you know of this individual ?

Dear Sus,

Do you think that this is one of the reasons the Cartel goes after taking people’s property away…because bodies are buried on the properties, and if ever discovered, would bring the whole DM down?

That never even occurred to me, until just now.

How long ago was this woman listed as missing? I know that when I read the story it was heartbreaking. It was a very long time ago, wasn’t it?

There are so many forgotten wells. They are almost perfect dumping grounds. Something I’m sure has been used liberally here in CC and surrounding environs.

Dear Room4,

Scary.

I wonder if one can get a map of all the old wells. I know that I had to get a permit, from the Corps of Engineers, (if I am remembering correctly), to dig one in Savannah, more than 20 years ago. I am not sure how long that federal rule has been in effect, but surely there are records. Now that would be a fun treasure hunt. I bet Suzie could help us.

tw

ROOM4ONEMORE
March 2nd, 2010 at 2:43 pm

Is the reason the wells are a perfect dumping ground
because the water carries the evidence away?

Dear JH,

I am guessing that it is because most wells are secluded, VERY Deep and VERY Dark, and no one ever goes digging them up or exploring them.

Creepy, when you think about it.

That reminds me of an episode of “Bones” which I only just started watching during the holidays, because my kids and grandkids love…now I see while. Characters are very interesting and well developed, like NCIS.

Anyway, a wine tasting was being held at a winery, and the group moved to a new cask, and began to taste. They all spat and retched and recoiled, and when the cask was opened, a decomposed body was revealed.

My husband was still stateside, and was watching that episode with me, and he said that it is a fairly regular occurrence in the wine region of South Africa, for a winery worker to go missing, and to be found in the HUGE wine vats. They can be overcome by carbon dioxide, a natural bi-product of the fermentation process, while cleaning the vats out. CO2 builds up in the bottom of a vat, as it is heavier than oxygen, and of course, the worker will become disoriented and then die from lack of oxygen.

But – can you imagine what water from a well with a decomposing body would smell/taste like?

Bud Crowe is the name everyone was calling him, but I imagine they are related. Mentone is just down the road.
Sounds like they are all cut from the same cloth, no? Illegal liquor, marijuana…wasn’t it the Holly Strawn’s grand-pappy who used to grow the sweet stuff up that way? Now, she is an attorney with BLC.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste, and it looks like folks up that way found a way to let Mary Jane fund a college and then law school education. It’s okay to waste other children’s and grandchildren’s minds, messing them up with drugs, as long as you and yours are taken care of, and your children and grandchildren can grow up to be lawyers.

So, any idea who the gentleman found in the river is/was?

FOUND BODY TREATED AS HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION

JOEY WEAVER

03-14-2010

The Chattooga County Sheriff`s Department is treating the discovery of a male body floating in the Chattooga River at Lyerly as a homicide investigation. According to Sheriff John Everett, the identity of the black male has not been verified by the GBI Crime Lab in Atlanta. The body of the man was found on Friday evening around 7:45 PM. After getting a boat into the water, rescue workers were able to retrieve the body around 9:15 p.m., according to Sheriff Everett. Originally investigators could not see the body clearly from their vantage point and could not identify the sex or gender until rescue workers reached the body. The body appeared to be a black male of unknown age, height, etc. Chattooga County Coroner Earle Rainwater told sources there that they still dont know who the man is, and still dont know what happened, Rainwater said it would likely be mid-Monday before investigators knew more about the man and what happened

Dear JH,

Thanks! I have been working on a case file, and have been buried in work most of the weekend. Headed to bed, now, and thought I would check in, and there you were, “Johnny” on the spot.

Thanks,

tw

Going back to some Feburary posts, you guys are right!!! We have got to get rid of the professional politicos and get some people in the federal gov that have some common sense. What I don’t understand is WHY do the voters not see this??? They just keep voting in the same old senators and congressmen that have been there for years, padding their pockets and not ours. They increase their salaries, yet we are losing jobs here in the the US, this year they were not able to give a “cost of living” increase in those that receive Social Security which is the main support of a lot of retired folks. Did their salary go down??? NO. Are they willing to take a reduction in pay???? NO. Go figure, I am not happy, and we all should not be.

Transparent Government

http://fora.tv/2010/03/04/Beth_Noveck_Transparent_Government

Dear John, on a wholly different subject, does anyone out there know a Walker County detective with initials “C.C.”? A poster has come on another thread from an article I did a long time ago, and said that I needed to check into this individual, because lives depend on it.

Under which article was the comment made? Have you deleted it?

I was stumped with the Bud Crowe name, until I realized you were talking about the guy with the hair. That is how I always think of him. Haven’t seen him in years.

Dear Room 4,

“Meet Bo Loggins”.

So, what was going on this weekend that took half the Summerville Police Department to bring Jon Dennis’ son down? He has been charged with Disorderly Conduct, according to jail records. A bunch of officers are listed on the arrest report. JD’s son, Jon-Stephan Zachery Dennis, age 23, with a must be a big strapping fellow like his dad.

Why would u go there regarding jd’s son. That is in poor taste…If you have an issue with the father you sould never adress the children. You are better than that…..

Dear Sally,

How is that poor taste? He was arrested…for breaking the law….it is public record. How is that “going after” anyone? It took multiple officers to subdue him. You can go to the jail or to the Summerville PD and read the arrest record yourself.

At least I did not devote a full blown article to it - I just mentioned it in passing. Would you rather I do a full article so that there is a perma-link headline out on the internet FOREVER, with his name in it, so that if he applies for a job or college or graduate school, the article would follow him? The 1180am arrest record will follow him, now. That website has a permalink to their posted arrest record with his name. Did you happen to chastise them?

I don’t see a problem with the question TW asked. I was curious about the arrest myself. If I was acting in a disorderly way and the police were called, it would probably take only a couple of officers to subdue and haul me to the bighouse.

I’ve seen the arrest reports on children of other subjects here and been curious about the details. Some are repeatedly arrested and I wonder what the heck are they thinking? Maybe the local jail is just an attractive, fun place to hang your hat? I don’t see the attraction myself, but that’s just me.

Dear Room4,

I am guessing that it would only take one or two to subdue me, but they would have to catch my butt first. I KNOW I could outrun anyone in LE in several counties, LOL. I am old, and am short, but I can run fast, and I have long distance endurance.
